A decade knowing her . . .

I have spent a decade learning
I hope to spend a few more enjoying her

She once told me she could not allow herself to stay
past fortythree then settled on fifty-one,
but I hope she changes her mind.
if she only gives me two more
then I will try to enjoy myself

but I will miss her laugh and her cynical looks

    A decade? I did not know he knew her when i was 14 but then again, i was 14…. i was just thinking about women for myself… so who knew who he knew… i certainly wasn’t documenting his life…

    I met Amanda in 1994. Hard to believe. This time around we have been dating for over 7 years.

    I was there too. It really has been (over) 10 years. (Seems like everything is “10 years ago”). I think I remember a beret. Maybe.
