So here’s a couple of links I would like to share.

I’m still moving in here and I haven’t quite got everything unpacked yet. But I’m ready to start “decorating” a little. I’ll start with a couple of links I want to add to the site. Well, actually, Trey will be adding them for me I guess when he good and well pleases. So for now, I’ll just post them here till he can get around to it.

First up is Digital Priest. Actually, I don’t think its called “Digital Priest” anymore; I believe the official name is now “Grace Phonogram Entertainment”. The layout and the host of this site seems to change every few months so who know. I’ll still call it digital priest cause a) that’s what I’m used too and b) it’s a sounds cooler.

Anyway, this is the website of Christopher J. Priest. “Who is Christopher J. Priest?” you may ask. Simple answer is just some guy that writes comics. At least that’s how I came accross him. In addition to that, he writes prose, manages and produces musicians, and builds website. Probably some other stuff. Oh, and he’s an ordained minister or something. And sometimes bus driver.

What I like most about the site are his articles. Good stuff. Mr. Priest is a smart man that covers a range of topics (race, politics, religion, star trek…). He’s also funny (think “Letterman-funny”, not “Leno-funny”). But yeah, good stuff. I really like his articles. Check them out yourself when you have time (they can be pretty long). It’s also cool (for us comic books fans) to hear some of his behind ths scenes stories about the industry.

It seems that he quit adding articles to his viewpoint section late last year, and instead has focused more on weblog entries. Still though, the older articles are still worth checking out, even though they are not updated anymore.

Next up is one ot the few websites (beside Happypoet, of course) that I visit everyday: OverClocked ReMix .

The description from the website states:

OverClocked ReMix is a website dedicated to reviving the video and computer game music of yesterday, and reinterpreting that of today, with new technology & capabilities. This site’s mission is to prove that this music is not disposable or merely just background, but is as intricate, innovative, and lasting as any other form.

Basically, it’s a site where you can find remixes of videogame music. Lots of remixes. That in and of itself would be cool enough, but the reason I go there all the time is it has a great discussion comunity. The forums cover just about any topic regarding pop culture (but mostly it’s video games). There are a lot of people there that are smart, funny, and creative. I get all kinds of good stuff from this site. Most of the avatars I come up with are stolen (shamelessly) from the OCR forums. Only drawback to the site, is that most of the users tend to skew toward the younger side. Lot of high school kids, but that’s the price you pay. Also, if you do visit, try to stick to the general discussion forum, as opposed to the unmoderated forum, which is mostly just a cesspool of flames and porn.

So there. That’s it. I’m done. For now.

Ron. (Never knows how to end these things)

you should end with a final thought, like Jerry Springer. that would be great.

This after an hour long of guys ripping thier shirts (and clip-on ties) off and beating the hell out of one another over some…how to put this nicely…skank(?) who keeps flashing the audience. I’ll try. “Live long and prosper”. “Eat drink and be merry”. “If you can’t be good, be good at it”. “Love is all you need”. “Good luck and godspeed”. I dunno. I like this better: “Always be closing”. Ron. (Because coffee is for closers)

Yeah end with a positive message. I always do. “You know why, mister? ‘Cause you drove a Hyundai to get here tonight, I drove an eighty thousand dollar BMW. *That’s* my name.” Wilbur

Do you want to keep it black and white. Or do you want to change the color of it. Wilbur
