Personal update and more..

Filed under: Entries — arglor @ 1:20 pm

Friday is the begining of my last “visit” to NYC. The next time i see the dirty streets and the grime filled subways it will be my home. Will it honestly be my home though? Who knows.

I realized i probably won’t apply to CUNY for the Fall semester… more then likely the Spring semester. Why you might ask? First off the deadline for filing for Financial Aid has passed. Secondly i keep reviewing over the paper i’m considering turning in and i feel like my metaphysics paper would be better. Third i want to make sure i pass this semester and graduate. Fourth i want a break. I think i need a break. Fifth but last and least important is monetarily speaking it would be wise. Sixth I can redo my GRE during the summer and see if i can bring up my already lagging scores. Seventh God came to me in a dream and said that if i went to CUNY next semester he would kill a kitten, unfortunatly that didn’t really persuade me because i hate kittens and i know God didn’t exist.

So yeah. Metaphysics. Need to work on that baby.

Odd, to find out about this on your blog. But I will support whatever decision you make. I do have questions and stuff though. One of which is, if you’re not applying to CUNY this fall, why apply at all next spring, as we may be able to get the hell out of dodge by next summer–unless you just happen to like CUNY particularly? I know you hate NYC, and we may not have to stay. If you’d prefer to apply to Chicago or Seattle or wherever, that may be an option… Many other questions… I will bother you with them tonight. Aren’t you looking forward to our conversation? I know how much you love being interrogated you secretive secretive thing. You can’t WAIT, I know it! Liar. You do not hate kittens. Do you. Do you. How could you? Lookatthisface. [img:7e6d34be1f]http://www.geocities.com/marymcmyne/Doc11_files/image001.jpg[/img:7e6d34be1f]

Kittens do not mix with philosophy. I care nothing at all for kittens, even if they are cute as hell. A kitten is not unlike any other lower mammal. Why, a rat could be just as ‘cute’. Just because they are kind of cuddly and it’s fun to hear them purr … And they’re totally zany. Like, I had this cat and I would talk to him and he would know I was but he acted like he completely couldn’t care less, and then some floating particle of dust would startle the hell out of him and absorb his attention absolutely, and then he would crouch down and wiggle his rear end, pounce, slip and slide all over the smooth floor, and end up falling on his arrogant face. Crap. I love kittens. David, how could you? As for my metaphysics paper, I’m hoping for some kind of Gestalt (sp?) because I still haven’t started writing. Thank the kitten-murdering ‘seventh god’ of which you speak for spring break.

Yeah, cats certainly seem to have it all together. But I think they’re on a totally higher transdimensional level we could never comprehend. I think they find our consternation amusing, our ignorance infuriating. I’m glad of their plenitudinous patience which allow us to hold them and pet them and feed them and love them. Duuuuh and call them George.
